Lakshadweep is an Indian archipelago located in the Indian Ocean in the southwest of India. Lakshadweep is the smallest city in India. The Lakshadweep archipelago originates from lava emitted from volcanic eruptions in ancient times. It is located in the Arabian Sea about 400 km west of the mainland of India. There is a total of 36 islands in the Lakshadweep Islands but only 7 islands have life. Away from the mainland, its natural beauty, pollution-free environment, the sea around it, and its transparent surface captivate tourists.

In the year 2006, 23,303 tourists visited here. Of these, 2,622 were foreigners. Tourists interested in water sports such as scuba diving and snorkeling attractions visit here. Despite being the smallest union territory of India, it is the most popular in terms of tourism.
