4 Ways to Save Money at an LA Dodgers Game - Including Free Parking at Dodger Stadium

Dodger Stadium is definitely a great baseball experience that fans should take in whenever possible. When you think about LA you probably think about an expensive place to be; and you would be correct. However, when it comes to a trip to Dodger Stadium you really can go on the cheap. Here a 4 easy ideas that can save you some money.

1. Park For Free

There are actually a few options to find free parking within a reasonable walk of the stadium. One such spot is in front of the hospital on Stadium Way, which is just outside the Elysian Park Ave. entrance to Dodger Stadium. An additional benefit to parking for free is the lack of parking lot traffic after the game. You can also park for free near Dodger Stadium at Academy Rd. which is right off of the 110 Freeway. The curb parking is just past Park Rd. and North of Solano Canyon. A third place to look for free parking at Dodger Stadium is on Academy Way just off of Interstate 5. In my opinion that may be your safest option because you are right next to the Police Academy and there is a decent amount of free parking to be had.

2. Get High

Upper deck seats are commonly referred to as "nose bleed" seats, but at Dodger Stadium these really are pretty nice. Sitting high behind home plate provides not only a great view of the game, but it also provides an excellent view of the surrounding hills and the setting sun at times. These tickets are only $11 each which is an excellent value even when compared to most other major league stadiums.

3. Buy Extra

You may not be a huge Dodger fan, in fact you may be reading this because you are about to go to your first game and you want to be prepared. I feel the need to mention that the Dodgers offer incredible prices on their mini-season ticket packs. You can buy a 12 game package for as low as $48 per seat. For those bad with math that is 4 bucks a game - incredible. If you don't want to go to 12 games this year, we then just sell your extra tickets to friends or on eBay or StubHub. You really can't go wrong with that deal, you could probably go to 5 games and sell the other 7 to break even.
